There's No Time
Like the Present... or Something Like That

I have an extra squishy soft place in my heart for aspiring corporate drop outs — after all, I’ve been one too.

I rode the merry-go-round for nearly two decades. I busted my butt climbing the corporate ladder (intrinsic motivation is no joke, y’all) only to find myself at a very unpleasant, very real crossroads — keep playing the game, knowing good and well I wasn’t going to reach my full potential working for “leaders” who have absolutely no idea what they’re doing…

Or? Get comfortable with getting uncomfortable and forge my own path under my own rules.

There’s something to be said for playing it safe and doing what’s expected of you. But at the end of the day, what is going to make you happy? Like, head-to-toe proud of yourself for doing what’s right for you happy?

My story isn’t the most traditional — but honestly, whose is anymore? I said “adios” to the corporate life… and found myself in the most excellent position to take an engagement manager opportunity for an employee communications SaaS platform. Translation? On any given day, I work with some of the world’s largest and most well-known organizations to help them communicate with their employees. Bonus? I get to do something I love.

And because I’ve had dreams of solopreneur sugarplums dancing in my head for more than 10 years, I’ve found myself in the position of wanting my cake and eating it too.

So not only do I create and help execute engagement strategies and adoption plans, I also spend my free time focusing on my passion — partnering with soon-to-be corporate dropout rock stars to find their dream business venture’s content strategy sweet spot. Think: simplifying the social media, email, thought leadership, video, podcast, all the things chaos to expertly create a customized system that works.

The result? Save time creating and cultivating that online presence. Focus on building that dream business and making that $$$. BOOM.

I BELIEVE IN:

Dreaming big, pursuing things people say "can't be done," strong drinks, queso and random trips to Trader Joe's.

I'm NOT ABOUT:

Excuses, reality TV, the Oxford comma, unloading the dishwasher, running if I'm not being chased and corporate ego fluffing.

YOU CAN FIND ME:

Rewatching Parks & Rec, quoting The Office, flipping through cookbooks and buying stuff I don't need from Amazon.

daily rituals:

Morning coffee, organizing my to-do lists, puppy cuddles and cursing at dirty dishes in the kitchen sink.

My Favorite Things

College football + tailgating.
See: TCU Horned Frogs.

TCU Horned Frogs. I'm a loud, proud TCU alum. And it's always a great day to be a Horned Frog, y'all.

Our rescue pup, Captain. He owns the place. We just work to support his cookie habit. And his cushy blanket habit. And keep the roof over his ridiculously adorable head.

My Favorite Things

Reading in the pool. It doesn't even have to be in my backyard. Bonus points if the pool is in Mexico.

Pumpkin spice everything. Yeah, it's basic... and I don't even care. PSL forever.

Music trivia. If you need a game night partner with entirely too much useless knowledge of all things 70s/80s/90s pop and rock, I'm your girl.
